19th C VICTORIAN HANGING OIL LAMP With PRISMS Picture(s) and Description:
isaacmuzzy Store This is a nice looking 19th century Victorian ceiling hanging oil lamp in uncleaned & unrestored condition featuring gold-toned metal framework with a hand-painted white glass font & domed shade. The font has a roses decoration & shade has complimenting floral designs – designs are on both side with a simpler image. Font is missing the burner & has a line that looks like a hairline but was just part of the manufacturing process in the glass. The frame is all intact and has two layers of glass prisms – they are in nice shape with no excessive wear to glass, missing 2 prisms. The shade is all intact with no damages or excessive surface war to hand-painted design. Fixture has original hanging chains & the motor mechanism on top needs a hanging hook as the one that’s on the top is too small to handle the weight. Fixture is about 28”L, shade is 14” in dia., can be cleaned up & restored or a great parts lamp for period restoration projects. Victorian hanging oil lamp looks & displays nicely & is guaranteed old & authentic.
