AMAZING VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE BIRD FIGURAL 4pc TEA SET FINEST QUALITY w EXCEPTIONAL DETAILS & GREAT WEIGHT N/R This is an amazing Antique Silver Plated tea and coffee service. The service is one of the finest I have sold in some time with the most amazing chased or repousse floral and scroll designs as well as the most desirable figural Bird head spouts, the figural Man's face at the base of the spouts and squash blossom finials on the tea and coffee pots. The four (4) piece set includes the following: one (1) coffee pot measuring approx. 9-1/2" to top of finial x 11" across (from tip of spout to end of handle), a teapot measuring approx. 7-1/2" high x 10-1/2" across (from tip of spout to end of handle), a sugar bowl measuring approx. 4-3/4" high, and a creamer measuring approx. 5-1/2" high (to top of handle). All pieces are in excellent condition with hardly any surface age use, no damage and no wear to base metal. The handles on the pots are Silver Plate as well, always a sign of great age and quality. The set is a nice practical size for use, with the pots each holding approx 6-8 tea cups, depending on the size of your exact cups of course. The set is marked Brimet Made in England E.P. on Copper (as all the best Silver was), dating to the high Victorian period and these services are always very desirable, they make perfect Wedding shower gifts !
