c1890 Antique Nippon Vase Moriage Gorgeous! Very large Victorian Japanese porcelain vase with applied moriage. The vase is very stunning, with elaborate art work of applied moriage, I do not see any missing, and there is a lot of moriage covering the body of the vase, the handles, the neck, and even the bottom base. The vase is a massive 14" tall by 13" wide!!! The background color is a dark green, with a lighter green color and also peach color to the background of the moriage artwork going around the body of the vase. The handles are very large and chunky, and are covered with applied moriage. The vase is in EXCELLENT condition! I see a few very small short firing gaps on the underside of the base where the corner areas meet, these are very minor and only show on the very bottom. I would consider this vase to be a 10 on a scale of 1-10 on condition. The vase is very large and the moriage is practically mint. Unmarked on the bottom, dating this vase pre-Nippon before the back stamp was required for export. Magnificent display! Questions welcome and promptly answered.
