Up for your consideration tonight we have a gorgeous antique crazy quilt from late 1800's. This is absolutely Beautiful, I have never seen one with such a variety of detailed & exquisite stitches and embroidery work! Another from the family, this one is the oldest that I have and am parting with. This was from one family ...made and owned with history...made by great, great grandma with some from her daughter great grandma as well...will send the the new owner the details in the box with the quilt when shipped. Measures 69"x76", pictured out on a queen sized bed. Has incredible pieces of several different colors and sizes of silks, velvet, cotton, weave/woven blanket, hat fabric, ticking, feedsack,canvas, checks, flowers, stripes, aztec, upraised, paisley, dots, speckles, swirls, so many beautiful and unique pieces...one from Saco..ready to wear hats, Paris & New York another marked Randa..Trade Mark Registered. The Colors are amazing and vivid, the back side is in a woven cream/tan with redish..the old like muted deep lines, check and feather pattern variety...I pictured the embroidered thread work on the back side witch is almost as pretty as the front. Please take a look at all detail embroidered stitches in this, there are so many different ones and detailed flowers and designer rows and overflows it is just magnificent. This is in wonderful condition for it's age considering it is over a hundred years old. There were about 15 silks that had some wear...which i have picturer them all as well as a small spot or 2 on the back and a small edge seam that needs a restitch. I have pictured all that i found..I like for you to see what you are getting, that is why so many pictures. This was in storage for many years and has a bit of a must odor, I am airing it out but did not want to clean as I do not know the proper way on antique quilts and did not want to do any harm to it, so that will be up to the new owner.
