"Fine" Antique Victorian Small Caramel Slag Glass Lamp I am doing things a little different....I will be listing all my 10 day unreserved antique auctions on Friday nights at 9:00 PM (E.S.T.) to end on Monday Evenings at the same. Description: This is about as original as you will find. This is a beautiful smaller sized antique C.1910-20 Victorian patinated metal slag glass lamp with beautiful caramel panels and hand painted floral embellishments on the frame. Each panel reminds me of a stained glass window ...the frame is pretty painted flowers with grape and leaf design with embossed scroll in the frame. The matching base with same motif. Overall the base color of the lamp is a dark green to look like patinated bronze with pink and aged gilt accents. The lamp is made from a spelter metal and painted green, which is all original. The lamp has a normal thumb switch in fine working order, original socket present. It was rewired with appropriate cloth covered cord...you have about 4 1/2" of cord. If you never owned a caramel slag glass lamp, your in for a treat. It will illuminate a room with a soft light that creates a beautiful ambiance. The lamps are perfect for reading and just setting a nice mood in its surroundings. Size: This is a smaller boudior sized lamp, it measures 15 1/2" tall. The shade is 8" diameter and it stands 6 3/4" tall. Condition: The lamp is all original except for the cord with is just about an identical replacement, a little shorter than the original. The paint is very good, especially around the shade, the base does show some wear especially around the central post area...Overall it is a beautiful lamp ready for use right out of the box.
