ITEM: Up for auction is a Fine c1845 Victorian Sterling Silver Etched Decorated Calling Card Case. The Case is part of a Large Collection of Silver, and other Fine Quality Estate items up for auction, as you can see in the last picture.
The Case is one of the Nicest Period examples we have seen. The Case is Finely and Ornately decorated on both sides. The Case has also never been monogrammed which is nice. The Case is also in fine original condition with no dints, cracks, holes, or repairs. The Lid opens and closes perfectly with a nice quality made back hinge. The Case measures 3 1/2 inches tall, by 2 inches wide. The Case weights 55 grams. The Case is also a nice Early Victorian example hallmarked for Birmingham Sterling Silver the year 1845, along with the makers mark "ES".
As usual always we start all our items nice and low, and have never had a Reserve on one item.Ever! Just like a Real Auction should be!
