VICTORIAN ARMORIAL CRESTED SILVER PLATE ENTREE DISH N/R POSSIBLY EVEN LATE GEORGIAN ! ONE OF BEST FROM COLL. This is a very fine antique Silver Plate entree dish, with removable handle so you can use the lid as a serving dish when extra company arrives, and also for ease of polishing. This beauty is in very nice estate found condition, with minor signs of use and age, but I would never list Silver Plate that I would not be proud to use in my own home. The entree is of a very practical size for use, measuring approx 5-1/2" tall to the top of the handle, 11-1/4" long by 8-1/12" across the top of the base dish or the actual serving area measures approx 8-1/2" by 5-1/2" by 1-1/4" deep. The dish is not marked, it honestly looks to be Georgian, or at least very early Victorian and most examples of the period were never marked. The entree does feature a very nice period Armorial as seen in the photos. These are always very popular, they look great displayed on a fine sideboard and your guests are sure to be both impressed and more than a little jealous !
