BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN HOMAN CASTOR CONDIMENT SET LOVELY SET OF 5 MATCHING ETCHED CRYTAL GLASS INSERTSHallmarked on Top with Homan Logoca. 1885 This is an authentic Victorian Silver plate Castor Condiment Set that was made in the late 1800's by the Homan Silver Co. located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a beautiful set, simply breath taking. It has a very ornate magnificent handle that is sturdy and firm to carry. This set has a very unique set of 5 matching etched bottles with the harder to find square body pattern. This set even comes with the original matching glass stoppers also with the square pattern and they are etched as well. Just fabulous. Even the silver plate looks great and the lids all look wonderful. This is certainly a quality antique. The glass bottles are all in great condition and the lids all open nicely and screw on well. This was obviously a set that was loved and well taken care of. It is clearly hallmarked on the top of the skirt which is also detailed with lovely floral patterns. The base has matching florals as well. The silver plate looks very nice overall, but as always, we do refrain from polishing or cleaning any of these antiques as many buyers have asked us not to do so. This one does shine wonderfully. The set stands a high 16.5 inches in height, and the skirt is approximately 7.5 inches in diameter. This set would certainly compliment any antique collection or discriminating collector.
