A stunningly good looking piece with cherub / putto feet. A fine centralized cast bust of a goddess on either side. Pierced throughout. High flared everted ends. gadrooned outward from the bottom. Highly detailed acanthus foliage layered and scrolled. The best part is that at some time in the recent past, the piece has been completely reconditioned and therefore it's all in excellent condition. For you purists that think reconditioning is a bad thing, I agree. For certain types of antiques, original is better but this is not one of those since it is a revival piece to start with. The original would be hundreds of years old. So instead of corroded brass and a muddled appearance. It's been polished, re-lacquered. The bottom has been replaced and there are no holes from corroded metal. In short, you have a nearly new looking vintage piece that with little care, will maintain this beautiful appearance and serve to showcase your flowers, plants, little herb garden. Faux flowers or real, moss balls or other things. Limited only by your imagination. It measures 18 1/2" across and 7" deep and 8" tall. It weighs about 12 pounds!!!!
