Up for Auction is a Fabulous VINTAGE VICTORIAN ERA CELERIE/CELERY SERVER.Some books I have researched have called this style a CELERIE SERVER or CELERY SERVER.Victorian Era Ornate Frame in Which a Tray Fits into.This is All Original.with the Original Perfect Fit Tray.Frame has Wonderful Victorian Motifs along Sides and Up to the top where the Bird Rests.along with it's Ornate Feet.The Frame appears to be all intact with No Breaks in the Metal.It is Marked on the Bottom with the Vintage ROCKFORD SILVER PLATE CO. LOGO.Quadruple.It also bears the Mfg. Number of 644.We have not tried to Clean up the Silverplate frame.Has Darkened from Non Polishing.and will leave that up to it's new owner.It appears to have some Silver Loss to the Bottom are on the frame.but the Rest Looks Great.The Glass Insert Is Original and Made for this Piece and is a Perfect Fit.The Insert is basically in Great shape.with only 2 minor chips on the underneath side of 2 corners of the glass tray.Nothing that can be seen from the top or sides of the insert.No Cracks.Chips possibly occured from either washing or moving in and out of the tray.Other than this.It Shows Well and Definitely says VICTORIAN.and is Quite Unusual with Unusual Styling.This would be a Great Addition for that Collection or to any Victorian Styled Table or Dining Room.Overall Height is 6 3/4" in Height.9 1/4" in Overall Length.and 4 1/2" in Width.After Securely Wrapped and Packed for shipping.this item weighs just under 4lbs.This will be Shipped Priorty Mail.Feel free to contact us.and we will do our best to help answer your questions.
